A positive, diverse and inclusive company culture* Competitive compensation packages based on your skills and experience* Paid time off including vacation, personal days and bereavement time* Discounted merch & food* Uniform and duty meal each shift* Team-building activities and training opportunities (so you can be the best at what we do!)* Annual company merch allowance and Beer Bucks (free beer!!!)* Gratuity program boosting hourly wages!*The Role: Assist in the supervision of food preparation, production, and training of kitchen staff* Ensure that food products, presentation, and plating are of the highest quality, and are prepared to serve in a timely manner* Prepare and cook food in a specific station within a kitchen environment* Complete basic food preparation* Complete food orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels on the Sous Chef’s days off* Perform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted range* Assure adherence to all standards of food quality, preparation, recipes, and presentation in conjunction with Lake of Bays specifications* Monitor holding and storage operations, stocking and food rotation, and guarantee food service sanitation standards are met* Oversee kitchen staff and provide training on food standards, cleaning and sanitation practices*Your Assets: 1 to 3 years of experience cooking in a restaurant, hotel, or resort (preferred, but not a deal breaker!)* An understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skills* Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks with accuracy and speed* Ability to read and follow cooking directions* Able to remain calm, cool and collected in a fast-paced environment* A passion and enthusiasm for craft beer and the food and beverage industry (not necessary, but a big win for us!)* Excellent verbal communication skills* Organized, adaptable and self-motivated with a “can do” attitude*Working Conditions: Evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts are all part of the gig* Walking, bending, lifting and extended periods standingIf this sounds like a great fit to you, apply online today or pop into our location to drop off your resume!Bracebridge Barrelhouse is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity and inclusion throughout our company.
