Job Summary
The House Cleaner is a valued member of the home care team who performs a variety of cleaning tasks in private residences. Under the direction of the Care Coordinator, the House Cleaner helps ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine home cleaning: dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
- Clean kitchens and bathrooms thoroughly
- Change bed linens and do laundry as requested
- Maintain cleaning checklists and follow client-specific instructions
- Notify supervisor of any safety or maintenance concerns
- Travel to and from client homes as assigned
- Treat clients and their homes with respect, care, and professionalism
- Previous professional or personal cleaning experience preferred
- Must be reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Must be comfortable working in a variety of home environments, including around pets
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Access to a reliable vehicle and valid drivers license
- Access to a mobile phone and the internet
