Job Summary
Shawarma Royale is a fast-paced shawarma and Middle Eastern food restaurant focused on delivering quality meals with excellent service. We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and have a passion for providing an excellent shopping experience. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing transactions, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the checkout area is clean and organized. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as communication with diverse customers is essential.

Duties

  • Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases.
  • Utilize POS systems efficiently for transaction processing and inventory management.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to answer questions and resolve any issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to assist customers effectively.
  • Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth operation during busy periods.
  • Always follow food safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is a mandatory.
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Proficient in using POS systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Excellent phone etiquette for customer interactions over the phone.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
