Responsibilities


Customer Service and Operations



  • Oversee the operation of the golf shop and backroom (product purchases/sales, inventory management, equipment rental, practice range, bag storage, locker management, etc.).

  • In collaboration with senior management, plan staffing needs and recruit the necessary personnel.

  • Manage employee schedules to optimize the use of facilities and customer satisfaction.

  • In collaboration with senior management, evaluate the skill level and performance of staff under your responsibility, provide them with feedback, training, and encouragement necessary for the performance of their duties.

  • Ensure harmony within your team and manage conflicts.

  • Ensure the safety of employees and users.

  • Greet members and visitors with professionalism and courtesy.

  • Meet regularly with customers, inquire about their level of satisfaction with activities, and propose procedures to ensure their overall satisfaction, implement them, and follow up on them once approved.

  • Represent the brand image of Club Sports Belvédère.


Teaching and Development



  • Offer private and group golf lessons at all levels.

  • Organize junior clinics and programs.

  • Act as a mentor for young golfers and assistant staff.


Tournaments and Events



  • Oversee reservation systems, training programs (juniors, first swings, golf lessons, etc.) and the organization of golf tournaments.

  • Collaborate with committees (golf, turf and curling).

  • Ensure compliance with golf rules and ethics of play on the course.


Administration



  • Work closely with senior management to prepare operating budgets for your sector.

  • Manage and monitor your sector's budget and ensure compliance with established parameters.

  • Produce performance reports and recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with club policies and Golf Québec/Canada and Curling Québec/Canada standards.

  • Coordinate between your sector and other sectors in collaboration with other departments (catering, grounds, finance, etc.).


Qualifications



  • Have good general management and customer service skills and understand the principles of solid financial management.

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage time and stress.

  • Possess a sense of planning and organization of human, financial, and material resources.

  • Be able to work as part of a team (both with other department heads and with members of their team) and effectively communicate the vision, objectives, projects, and targeted results.

  • Be familiar with problem-solving techniques.

  • Possess good analytical skills.

  • Have a general understanding of golf club operations.

  • Be highly available.

  • Be a member in good standing of the Professional Golfers' Association of Canada (PGA of Canada) or in the process of becoming one.

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.

  • Knowledge of club management software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Chronogolf, LIghtspeed).

  • Bilingualism (French essential, English an asset).


Compensation



  • Salary between $50,000 and $70,000 per year.

Canadian Forces Sports Manager


The Canadian Forces Sports Manager will plan, research, develop, implement, coordinate and manage the operations and delivery of sports programs for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Sports program, develop, amend, implement, and interpret national/regional/international sports policies and procedures for the CAF, as well as evaluate, develop, and implement policy amendments regarding program liability.


The Canadian Forces Sports Manager will develop, recommend, and implement policies for ethical conduct and anti-doping regulations in sports, as well as oversee the conduct, evaluate the operation, and recommend corrective procedures for CAF national/regional/international sports programs.


Qualifications Needed


Education, Certifications and Licenses



  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Administration, Recreation, Exercise Sciences, or a related field, AND some years of experience in sports and recreation administration, or in a related field

  • OR College diploma or certificate in Physical Education, Sports Administration, Recreation Management, or a related field, AND several years of experience in sports and recreation administration, or in a related field

  • AND Current National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 3 Theory and Technical certification

  • In planning and coordinating the operations and delivery of sports programs at the national or international level

  • In applying policies, procedures, and regulations

  • In coordinating leagues, tournaments and championships

  • In coordinating logistical support for sport venues

  • In designing high performance training programs for coaches, managers, athletes, and officials

Key Responsibilities


Wellness Ecosystem Leadership



  • Lead the strategic vision and day-to-day operations of the property’s wellness ecosystem including fitness centre, group studios, hydrotherapy areas, infinity pool and restorative spaces.

  • Curate a diverse portfolio of wellness experiences from low‑impact restorative sessions to high-performance results‑driven programmes.

  • Champion a refined guest journey that moves seamlessly from exertion to recovery from sweat to stillness.


Program & Guest Experience Design



  • Develop and oversee a calendar of innovative programming including functional training, HIIT, yoga, mobility sessions and recovery workshops.

  • Ensure offerings are inclusive, inspiring and reflective of a modern luxury lifestyle.

  • Act as the property’s wellness ambassador; engaging with guests offering bespoke guidance and building meaningful connections.

  • Collaborate with Spa, Culinary, Rooms and Marketing teams to create integrated wellness retreats, recovery menus and narrative‑driven activations.


Team & Partnerships



  • Recruit, coach and inspire the fitness, wellness and activation teams fostering a culture of excellence, growth and innovation.

  • Cultivate partnerships with local and global practitioners to deliver pop‑ups, retreats and unique activations.

  • Collaborate with Sales and Events to support group activations, wellness retreats and promotional opportunities.


Operations & Financial Stewardship



  • Oversee scheduling, usage metrics and guest feedback to optimize programming and anticipate emerging needs.

  • Manage departmental budget, payroll and productivity metrics to achieve financial goals while delivering exceptional standards.

  • Lead facility audits, preventive maintenance planning (with Engineering) and Health & Safety compliance across all wellness spaces.

  • Champion sustainability, sourcing eco‑conscious products and integrating mindful practices into hydrotherapy and pool operations.


Innovation & Industry Engagement



  • Introduce self‑guided wellness experiences via digital integration, app‑enabled workouts and guided routines.

  • Track program engagement and ROI using data‑driven insights to refine and evolve offerings.

  • Represent Rimrock Banff in luxury wellness networks and industry events positioning the property as a destination of intentional wellbeing.


Qualifications :

  • 3 years of progressive leadership experience in luxury hospitality wellness programming or fitness operations.

  • Certification in personal training, yoga, group fitness or related wellness disciplines.

  • Experience curating luxury wellness experiences with a guest‑first mindset.

  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to build and inspire teams.
