Job Description
Please note the very tight timeline. Applications must be received by January 12th to have time for a virtual interview before the internal deadline. This is a very competitive call so we are looking for relevant experience in immunology wet lab research, strong GPA and/or academic history, and excellent publication/presentation record.The Impact+ postdoctoral call is a 1-time government investment to recruit international post docs, or Canadians who trained outside Canada and want to return. The award is 2yrs, and I have funding beyond this to support the post doc for an additional up to 2years. You must have completed your PhD in immunology or a related discipline (eg genetics, biochemistry, physiology, microbiology) in 2024 or 2025. Outside this period will not be considered.

An application would consist of a CV, detailed cover letter outlining why the University of Manitoba and why my lab for a post doc and description of type III IFN research interests based on a literature review of gaps in the field. We have funding for both antiviral immunity and inflammatory bowel diseases immunoregulation. The project needs to have a health focus for the final application.
