<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Buyer</strong></p><p>Our client a leader in the window coverings industry is currently searching for a Buyer to join their team. This is an in office position located in the Woodbridge region.</p><p>The Buyer will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with inventory managers, production, product development, finance, accounting, and logistics teams, as well as external vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.</p><br><br><p><strong>Buyer</strong></p><p>Our client a leader in the window coverings industry is currently searching for a Buyer to join their team. This is an in office position located in the Woodbridge region.</p><p>The Buyer will report to the Operations Manager and work closely with inventory managers, production, product development, finance, accounting, and logistics teams, as well as external vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.</p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>·Follow purchasing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance to procedure and policy.</p><p>·Maintain and update costing records, price lists, and supplier information.</p><p>·Issue accurate Purchase Orders (POs) to suppliers and track confirmations.</p><p>·Communicate inventory replenishment using tracking tools, taking into account current and changing minimum/maximum levels, and safety stock thresholds in collaboration with the Inventory Managers.</p><p>·Collaborate with inventory managers to forecast material requirements and ensure timely placement of orders to meet deadlines.</p><p>·Work with finance to align purchasing activities with budgetary controls and funding requirements.</p><p>·Establish and maintain comprehensive vendor profiles.</p><p>·Develop and implement vendor scorecards to measure KPIs such as quality, service, reliability, payment terms, and overall partnership.</p><p>·Engage vendors directly to resolve issues and recommend preferred suppliers based on performance.</p><p>·Partner with Product Development to identify and address material or vendor-related challenges.</p><p>·Maintain constant communication with vendors, freight forwarders, and custom brokers to ensure timely and cost-effective shipping and clearance of goods.</p><p>·Provide Inventory managers with accurate order details and expected delivery timelines to manage logistics effectively.</p><p>·Prepare and distribute offshore tracking reports for all stakeholders on a timely basis.</p><p>·Clearly communicate back-order status and recovery plans to relevant teams.</p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><strong>Qualifications & Experience</strong></p><p>·Minimum 5 years of <span >purchasing/procurement</span> experience.</p><p>·Industry experience in window fashion, textiles, or related manufacturing preferred.</p><p>·Proven experience managing international vendors, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.</p><p>·Strong ERP system knowledge and ability to manage SKU creation, costing, and inventory control.</p><p>·Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.</p><p>·High attention to detail with a track record of maintaining seamless inventory flow.</p><p>·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working in cross-functional teams and with global partners.</p><p>·Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.</p><br><br></p></p>
