<p><h3>Business Intelligence Analyst – Alliants</h3>
<p>Location: Canada Remote • Salary: $135,000 – $150,000 CAD per year • Travel: occasional visits to client HQ Washington DC and potential client site visits.</p>
<p>Join Alliants, a company dedicated to transforming customer engagement and creating future‑proof experiences. As a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in our growing Data Division, you will be the pivotal link between clients’ complex data and strategic business decisions.</p>
<h3>Job Responsibilities</h3>
<p>Partner closely with client stakeholders across various business functions to understand strategic objectives, operational challenges, and reporting requirements.</p>
<p>Lead discovery sessions and workshops to define KPIs and translate complex business logic into clear technical specifications for BI solutions.</p>
<p>Design, develop, and maintain intuitive Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights for executive and operational teams.</p>
<p>Champion data visualisation best practices to drive user adoption.</p>
<p>Develop and optimise robust, scalable Power BI data models using dimensional modelling best practices (star schemas).</p>
<p>Collaborate with Data Engineering teams on curated data layers in modern cloud platforms (e.g., data lakehouse) to ensure data is modelled correctly for analytics.</p>
<p>Contribute to data governance, ensuring consistency, reliability, and accuracy in all BI solutions.</p>
<p>Conduct ad‑hoc and exploratory analysis to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and answer complex business questions.</p>
<p>Provide training and support to empower client teams to use self‑service analytics tools effectively.</p>
<h3>Job Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>4+ years in Business Intelligence or Data Analyst roles.</li>
<li>Experience working with sensitive data in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare).</li>
<li>Expert‑level proficiency in Power BI – complex DAX, advanced data modelling, performance optimisation.</li>
<li>Strong experience with Power Query (M) for data transformation.</li>
<li>Advanced SQL skills for complex querying, data profiling, and validation.</li>
<li>Experience in stakeholder management and translating ambiguous requirements into deliverables.</li>
<li>Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail.</li>
<li>Client‑facing or consulting experience.</li>
<li>Familiarity with modern cloud data stacks (Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks).</li>
<li>Experience migrating analytics from legacy systems to cloud platforms.</li>
<li>Understanding of data engineering and data warehousing concepts.</li>
<li>Excellent communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences.</li>
<li>Collaborative, proactive, self‑motivated, and organised.</li>
<li>Passionate about building sustainable, scalable analytics solutions.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.</li>
