Generations Cleaning is a proudly growing building services company servicing a wide range of commercial and residential clients across the GTA — including large retail spaces, condominiums, medical facilities, offices, industrial sites, and more.
We are currently seeking a dedicated, hands-on, and personable Building Superintendent to join our team at a prestigious condominium property in Burlington. This position plays a key role in maintaining the building's operations, cleanliness, safety, and overall resident satisfaction.
What You'll Do: As the on-site Building Superintendent, you'll be the go-to person for ensuring the property runs smoothly and looks its best every day. Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing daily building inspections to identify and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Responding to and completing resident maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Overseeing cleanliness and upkeep of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, and exterior grounds.
- Ensuring the garbage and recycling rooms are kept clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Monitoring and maintaining building systems such as:
- Boiler and mechanical rooms.
- Sprinkler and fire panel systems (wet and dry).
- HVAC, chiller, and glycol systems.
- Generator, elevator, and sump pump rooms.
- Pool and compactor rooms.
- Coordinating and assisting contractors and vendors on-site as needed.
- Conducting regular light maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs, tightening fixtures, and minor repairs.
- Ensuring all work areas meet health, safety, and cleanliness standards at all time.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Building Superintendent or similar role within a residential or commercial property.
- Strong technical knowledge of Building Automation Systems (BAS) and general mechanical/electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, manage multiple priorities, and respond quickly to emergencies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with residents, property managers, and contractors.
- Highly organized, reliable, and self-motivated — able to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and professional demeanor, with a strong sense of pride in workmanship.
