<p> Hays is proud to be partnering with a leading property management firm to hire a skilled <b> Building Operator </b> to support a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential properties across the GTA. </p><p></p><p> This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and experienced professional to contribute to the smooth operation and maintenance of high-performing assets. </p><p></p><p> Responsibilities: </p><ul><li> Monitor property conditions and report cleanliness, maintenance, and tenant-related issues. </li><li> Assist the Operations/Property Manager with procurement and vendor coordination. </li><li> Maintain building systems including HVAC, inventory, and mechanical equipment. </li><li> Execute tenant work orders within 24 hours and ensure satisfaction. </li><li> Conduct monthly preventive maintenance and inspections. </li><li> Support property and construction inspections for both tenant and landlord work. </li><li> Participate in the on-call rotation and provide support across multiple sites as needed. </li><li> Ensure compliance with service contracts, building codes, fire codes, WHMIS, and safety regulations. </li><li> Complete vacant unit inspections, utility meter readings, and life safety protocols. </li></ul><p></p><p> Qualifications: </p><ul><li> Minimum 5 years’ experience in real estate operations. </li><li> Building Environmental Systems Diploma (1 & 2) or 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate preferred. </li><li> Proficiency in Building Automation Systems and pneumatic controls. </li><li> Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li> Detail-oriented with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities. </li><li> Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to high-quality service delivery. </li></ul><p> This role offers the chance to work with a reputable team focused on operational excellence and tenant satisfaction.
