Argentus is working with a fantastic client in the Public Sector space on a bilingual Procurement role. This renowned Public Sector organization has an incredible history, with a strong reputation for service delivery and a world-class strategic sourcing group. Today, they have tasked Argentus with a search for a Bilingual Senior Sourcing Specialist for a 12-18 month contract!
This individual will work on a hybrid basis to support the company’s Toronto, ON office in execution of major procurement programs and initiatives.
This role will work collaboratively with a number of teams, internal stakeholders and external suppliers to deliver end-to-end procurement projects for medium-complexity indirect spend categories, with a fair, transparent and competitive procurement process. Working in both English and French, the successful candidate will execute the sourcing strategy for the assigned indirect categories by running RFx events, including gathering stakeholder requirements, conducting market research for the supplier marketplace, preparing and issuing RFx documents, evaluating supplier responses, and participating in negotiations with suppliers and contracting as part of the awards process. Through proactive, mission-driven strategic sourcing, you will work to provide value through supplier consolidation, risk mitigation, cost avoidance, and operational efficiencies.
In addition, this individual will work throughout the contract term to monitor and evaluate supplier performance, using KPIs and Service Level Agreements to ensure that suppliers’ services conforms to operational standards and policies.
This is an excellent strategic sole contributor role for a proven Procurement professional in Toronto, ready to step into a contract opportunity and make an impact from day one with strong entrepreneurial and relationship-building skills.
The successful candidate needs to:
- Be French/English Bilingual
- Have considerable procurement experience within the Public Sector, including a strong understanding of Broader Public Sector (BPS) Procurement guidelines
- Have experience running end-to-end RFx events
- Have experience with writing/creating contracts as part of the procurement process, in concert with legal teams
