<p><b>Job Description</b><br/>
Allied Universal® is hiring a <b>Aviation Security Guard</b>. The Aviation Security Guard will be responsible for the security and safety of our client’s property and personnel. The Security Guard should know all site‑specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.<br/>
<b>Title:</b> Bilingual Security Professionals<br/>
<b>Location:</b> Ottawa, ON<br/>
<b>Pay Rate:</b> $19.57/HOUR<br/>
<b>Position Type:</b> Casual<br/>
<b>Shift Hours:</b> 06:00-14:00; 14:00-22:00; 16:00-00:00<br/>
<b>Shift:</b> All shifts available including weekends and holidays.<br/>
<b>Overview:</b> Allied Universal® is seeking a highly responsible Bilingual Security Professionals to ensure the security and safety of our client’s property and personnel at the airport. The officer will be responsible for patrolling, monitoring site‑specific policies and procedures, and responding to emergencies while delivering superior customer service.</p>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Monitor vehicle traffic and equipment activities, ensuring compliance with airport regulations.</li>
<li>Ensure proper use of vehicle corridors and address speeding violations.</li>
<li>Monitor and report waste management issues, wildlife activity, airside smoking, and fuel spills.</li>
<li>Inspect security systems, including doors, cameras, and locks.</li>
<li>Verify airport restricted area passes with a mobile card reader.</li>
<li>Detect and enforce regulations related to the Aeronautics Act and other aerodrome rules.</li>
<li>Assist with crowd control and public order within the Passenger Transportation Board (PTB).</li>
<li>Provide assistance to emergency response personnel and escort emergency vehicles onto the airfield.</li>
<li>Operate Explosive Trace Detection Equipment (EVD) as required.</li>
<li>Conduct vehicle inspections, ticketing, and report‑writing during patrols.</li>
<li>Escort unauthorized personnel out of restricted areas.</li>
<li>Other security‑related duties as directed.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<ul>
<li>5 years of verifiable employment history.</li>
<li>High school diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Must be at least 18 years of age.</li>
<li>Bilingual proficiency in French and English. French is considered first language.</li>
<li>Must possess or be able to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC).</li>
<li>Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.</li>
<li>Must have a valid Ontario Security License.</li>
<li>First Aid and CPR.</li>
<li>Exceptional customer service and communication skills.</li>
<li>Intermediate computer skills for operating technology at client‑specific sites.</li>
<li>Ability to handle crisis situations calmly and efficiently.</li>
<li>Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.</li>
<li>Open availability for shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
</ul>
