Europ Assistance Canada, part of Generali Group, is looking for a bilingual Claims Administrator to join our Travel Claims team in Canada.

We are searching for an experienced candidate to join our team and contribute to the building of the local operations in Canada. Europ Assistance is a global company actively doing business in over 200 countries in the delivery of their products and services.

The Canadian business unit will strategically focus its efforts on the Travel Insurance industry with the distribution of product offerings and associated service solutions to key stakeholders for their customers traveling abroad or with in Canada.

The position is based in Toronto, and the working environment is a mix of in-office and remote, though always in close collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.


Responsibilities Include:

  • Proactively examines claims with multiple benefits in accordance with the terms and conditions of the policy within the established authority level and within service level.
  • Review medical information in respect of the claim, analyze past health history and confidently determine payability.
  • Prepare clear summaries, action plans and correspondence to the client.
  • Takes personal accountability for delivering superior client experience including effective problem resolutions.
  • Responsible for communicating in a collaborative team with decision makers and managers.
  • Interact with clients to resolve outstanding issues.
  • Ensure claim file documentation is complete, determine claims decision and communicate the status to the client.
  • Demonstrates the ability to make decisions to obtain missing information, weighing cost effectiveness and reputational impact to clients.
  • Demonstrate commitment by taking ownership and accountability of the client and the claim.
  • Protects the client's privacy and confidentiality according to the established guidelines i.e., Consent to Disclose.
  • Assist in other claims areas when required.

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Post secondary education.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Knowledge of travel insurance products.
  • Ability to adapt to fluctuating call volumes and ability to prioritize work to optimize efficiency.


Language Requirement: Fluency in FrenchHours of Work: Monday to Friday, core hours.Work Location: Hybrid Total Compensation: $55k - 65k (salary plus bonus)
