About The Role
The AVP, Global Finance Transformation will lead the strategic transformation initiatives within the Finance division, driving efficiency, optimization, and innovation across global processes. This role demands a leader who can drive the execution of integrated workstreams while influencing key stakeholders, and ensure the seamless execution of transformative strategies.
The role requires a dynamic individual capable of operating in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. The AVP, Global Finance Transformation will be expected to work collaboratively with diverse teams across multiple geographies, driving change and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Implement and drive a comprehensive and integrated finance transformation strategy
Lead and manage cross-functional teams to drive process optimization and innovation within the Finance division.
Identify and leverage advanced technologies and methodologies to enhance financial operations and reporting.
Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure alignment on transformative initiatives as well as business goals and measurable results.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of transformation projects, making necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
Manage stakeholder relationships to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
Provide experience-based leadership and guidance on best practices of a finance transformation.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
15+ years of experience in a finance leadership role
Experience with a Global Finance Transformation program in a similar, or related, industry
An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or related discipline is required. An accounting designation desired
Ability to think strategically and execute tactically
Strong presence with proven ability to effectively interact with all levels of leadership
Demonstrated ability in dealing with diverse stakeholder groups and driving the agenda effectively
Organizational savvy and ability to navigate and lead cross-functionally within a complex and matrixed organization
Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
Strong project management skills.
The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
