Nissan INFINITI Langley has the perfect opportunity for you! We are actively seeking a Full-Time, Automotive Apprentice Lube Technician to join our exceptional service department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conducting Vehicle Inspections: You are responsible for conducting thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any issues or potential problems, ensuring the inspection is documented via Video Multipoint Inspection.
• Diagnosing issues: You will use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues with vehicles and adequately document the problem and recommended repair.
• Perform Repairs and maintenance: You are responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
• Communicate with Service Advisors: You will communicate regularly with service advisors to provide updates on the status of repairs and to discuss any issues or concerns related to vehicle repairs.
• Maintaining a clean, safe & organized workspace: You are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Measurables:

• Efficiency/Productivity: This measures the amount of work completed by the technician in each time period, such as hours billed, or cars serviced.
• Comeback Rate: This measures the percentage of jobs that require the technician to redo part or all their previous work due to error or dissatisfaction on the customer's part.
• Time to Repair: This measures the amount of time it takes the technician to complete a repair job, from diagnosis to completion.
• Training and Certification: This measures the technician's level of training and certification, which indicates their ability to work on newer vehicles and more complex systems.
• Customer Satisfaction: This measures how satisfied customers are with the quality of the technician's work and their overall experience at the dealership's service department.

Compensation:

The total hourly compensation range for the Lube Technician position at the Applewood Auto Group is $17.85 to $18.85 per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience, as well as other relevant factors. Please note that this range is provided as a general guideline and may vary depending on the qualifications and expertise of the selected candidate.

What we need from you:

• You are beginning your schooling career to become a Red Seal Automotive service technician
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• 1-2 years of direct work experience in automotive repairs and service
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Can effectively communicate automotive issues clearly using simple terminology.
