Role Description

The Assistant Payroll Manager will oversee payroll operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, accuracy, and timely processing of employee payments. Responsibilities include managing payroll data, ensuring proper deductions for taxes, and collaborating with the Human Resources and Accounting teams. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Langley, BC, and it requires maintaining confidentiality and fostering a team-oriented environment. Experience working in unionized environments is considered an asset.


Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in Payroll Administration or Payroll Management
  • PCP certification (or equivalent) — required
  • Experience in managing Payroll for at least 600 employees
  • Knowledge of processing and coordinating employee benefits
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems; Payworks expertise is a MUST, not just an asset
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Previous supervisory experience in payroll or related fields is a plus
  • Experience working in unionized environments is an asset


Salary

  • CAD $70,000 – $80,000 per year
