Are you a reliable and motivated individual with a passion for customer service and managing operations? Our busy laundromat in Toronto is looking for an Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer experiences, and maintain a clean, efficient store environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Operations: Ensure smooth functioning of the laundromat, including opening and closing procedures.
Customer Service: Provide friendly, prompt assistance to clients, answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Team Management: Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling staff. Manage shift rotations and ensure adequate coverage at all times.
Store Maintenance: Oversee and participate in the cleaning of the laundromat, including equipment, floors, and common areas. Ensure cleanliness standards are met. Work on the Wash and Fold.
Equipment Monitoring: Regularly check the machines for proper functioning, coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed.
Inventory Management: Keep track of cleaning supplies, vending machine products, and other store necessities, ordering replacements as required.
Cash Handling: Assist with cash management, including deposits and ensuring till balances match daily transactions.
Promotions & Marketing Support: Help implement promotions and customer loyalty programs to drive business.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or a related field is an asset. -Strong organizational and multitasking skills. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. -Ability to handle customer complaints with patience and professionalism. -Basic computer skills for scheduling and cash management software. -Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. -Comfortable performing physical tasks, including cleaning and light maintenance.
