Job Description

ECS is seeking an ARPA-H SETA – Biosensors / Biochemistry Technical Advisor to work remotely .

Are you a passionate scientist with a background in biomedical research and / or engineering supporting R&D initiatives through your expertise? Are you ready to support the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) in their mission to accelerate better health outcomes by supporting innovative, high-impact health R&D projects?

ECS is looking for a talented and driven ARPA-H SETA – Biosensors / Biochemistry Technical Advisor with a scientific and engineering background to join our team supporting ARPA-H. Under a Program Manager’s leadership, you will serve as a Systems, Engineering, and Technical Assistance (SETA) advisor, providing support and thought leadership for programs developing cutting-edge biosensor technologies.



Responsibilities :

  • Evaluate technical proposals for scientific merit and innovation.
  • Provide feedback, organize reviewer comments, draft recommendations, project summaries, and presentation materials.
  • Perform market analyses, technical due diligence, literature reviews, and generate briefing documents on technical topics.
  • Develop technical and administrative documentation on short timelines to communicate technical approach, progress, cost, schedule, and risk for advanced technology efforts.

Experience / Expertise :

  • Expertise in developing biosensors and assessing technologies across various applications.
  • Experience with multiplexed molecular assays and data science pipelines for analysis.
  • Knowledge of sensor development, data analysis, mathematical modeling, machine / deep learning.
  • Strong technical writing skills, ability to communicate complex ideas, and a willingness to explore emerging biotech literature.
  • Curiosity, multi-tasking ability, initiative, excellent organization, communication, and coordination skills.

Salary Range : $100,000 – $180,000.


Minimum Qualifications :

  • Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or related field with 2+ years of experience.
  • Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience.

Preferred Skills :

  • Additional expertise in robotics, endocrinology, circuit design, devices, or biology (preferred but not required).
  • Experience supporting ARPA-style programs and source selection processes.
