Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Arborist and a labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tree care, landscape maintenance, and the operation of specialized equipment. As an Arborist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the health and beauty of trees in various environments, ensuring safety and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of landscapes. Duties * Assess tree health and identify any potential issues or diseases. * Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate techniques and equipment. * Operate bucket trucks and other machinery safely to access trees at height. * Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including planting, mulching, and watering. * Collaborate with team members to develop and implement tree care plans. * Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all duties. Qualifications * Proven experience in arboriculture or a related field is preferred. * Proficiency in bucket operation and rigging techniques for safe tree work. * Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices is beneficial. * Familiarity with GIS systems for tracking and managing tree data is a plus. * Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. * Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. * A valid driver’s license is required; additional certifications in arboriculture are advantageous.
