We are currently seeking <strong>Apprentice Pipefitters </strong>to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.</p><p><strong>Propak</strong> offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a company matched group RRSP. If you are a looking to grow with a company who values work-life balance this may be the position for you. <br />Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lays out, assembles, fabricates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems</li><li>Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout requirements</li><li>Selects type and size of pipe required</li><li>Measures, cuts, and threads pipe to required dimensions using hand and power tools</li><li>Tack, welds and threads joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system</li><li>Installs supports, valves, piping, and control systems</li><li>Tests system for leaks using testing equipment</li><li>Cleans and maintains pipe units and fittings and flush systems</li><li>Removes and replaces worn components and reactivates systems</li><li>Listen and be receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion.</li><li>Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program.</li></ul><p>Qualifications:</p><ul><li>Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or</li><li>Be a registered apprentice.</li><li>Motivated and willing to learn.</li><li>As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.</li></ul><p><strong>Propak Systems Ltd. </strong>thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.</p><p><em>No Phone Calls Please</em></p></p></p>
