<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p>We are seeking a Millwright apprentice or Millwright assistant to support our compost facility in the Southeast of Calgary AB. This position is unique where the environment may include odors typical of compost operations. <br><br><strong>The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Assist team members, including Millwrights, with a variety of tasks and activities throughout all facilities and surrounding grounds.</li><li>Participate in various labor activities and handy work, including but not limited to cleaning, materials management, facilities maintenance, and improvements based on defined expectations and deliverables.</li><li>Support Millwrights in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair tasks under supervision.</li><li>Collaborate with team members to assign daily tasks, prioritize activities, and deliver outstanding performance and quality.</li><li>Operate company vehicles as required to support facility operations.</li><li>Live the safety-first mandate with unquestionable ethics and discipline to health & safety best practices.</li><li>Wear Personal Protective Equipment (safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, respirator, etc.) as required.</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>General labor experience in a similar environment is considered a strong asset.</li><li>Construction, mechanical, or heavy equipment background considered an asset.</li><li>Skid steer experience considered a strong asset.</li><li>Valid Class 5 Driver's License; must be comfortable driving as part of the role.</li><li>Previous Millwright <span >assistant/apprentice</span> experience required</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Attributes:</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.</li><li>Exhibit strong time management & organizational skills.</li><li>Ability to work safely and efficiently in a compost facility environment.</li><li>Must be willing to be clean shaven for use of masks</li></ul><p><br /><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs.</li><li>Work is mostly inside the facility but occasionally outside.</li><li>Fast-paced environment with exposure to compost odors.</li><li>Hours of work: 44 hours per week, 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, five days a week.</li><li>Availability for overtime.</li><li>Qualified candidates MUST be available to work a rotating schedule that includes weekends.</li></ul><br><br><strong>About Equation Staffing Solutions:</strong><p>Equation Staffing Solutions is a successful, award-winning Calgary based staffing and recruitment agency specializing in the placement of candidates on a temporary, contract or permanent basis.
