If you dream of joining an organization that is small enough for you to be noticed, but big enough to provide you with a meaningful career, then we want to hear from you!</p><p>The House of Commons’ Sergeant at Arms and Corporate Security is currently looking to staff various Agent, Visitor Registration Program positions on a full-time basis as well as multiple part-time positions.</p>
<p>The Visitor Registration Program Agent (VRPA) is the first point of contact for public visitors entering the Parliamentary Precinct.</p>
<p>In this position, you will provide both analytical and client service support to protect and serve parliamentarians in the House of Commons. As an Agent, Visitor Registration Program, you welcome guests with professionalism and engagement, all while remaining vigilant to threats and following the required processes. Alongside your colleagues, you ensure that proper documentation is provided, and others are compliant with security policies. Additionally, you facilitate group circulation and supports managing the intake capacity for the visitors’ center, Parliamentary Boutique, Hall of Remembrance and Gallery seatings, while accommodating priority guests.</p>
<p>*On-call, evening and weekend work may be required.</p>

<h3>Education</h3>
<ul><li>Successful completion of post‑secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.</li></ul>
<h3>Experiences</h3>
<ul><li>Experience in providing client service in both official languages to high‑profile clients;</li><li>Experience in interacting with a variety of partners (internal and external);</li><li>Experience in processing and analysing confidential requests in a fast‑paced and constantly evolving environment;</li><li>Experience in interpreting and inputting data;</li><li>Good knowledge of MS Office software and the ability to learn new software or web applications;</li></ul>
<h3>Asset</h3>
<ul><li>Experience working in the field of security;</li><li>Experience and/or knowledge of House of Commons operations.</li></ul>
