KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Timely month end file preparation, including the review of general ledger activity, preparation of various schedules and analytical review as needed;
➢ Accounting for inventory, goods in transit, advances to suppliers for finished goods, preparing monthly journal entries for Controller’s review, etc.
➢ Work closely with the Director of Finance for sales, gross margin and key metrics monthly and quarterly analysis and reporting as well as monthly detailed review of costings to ensure accuracy; month end detailed review of on- hand inventory valuation to ensure accuracy; ensure the root causes of anomalies found are addressed and report back to Director;
➢ Prepare & review wire payments issued for import shipments and ensure correct and complete;
➢ Prepare monthly commission reports for review and payment
➢ Assist in the preparation of year-end and governmental audit files;
➢ Miscellaneous reconciliations, analyses & reporting, collaboration with other departments and a variety of special projects as required by management;



REQUIREMENTS:
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a similar role
➢ Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
➢ Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities; takes initiative; high sense of urgency
➢ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
➢ Work with confidence and professionalism, discretion
➢ Process-oriented
➢ Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
➢ Very comfortable with technology (knowledge of Momentis and Great Plains is an asset)
➢ Strong people skills and a team player
➢ Experience in the apparel industry is an asset
