Responsibilities:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventive maintenance on a variety of industrial machinery, including conveyor systems, pumps, compressors, and other production equipment.
- Installation and Repairs: Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Blueprints and Schematics: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and equipment manuals to carry out maintenance and repair tasks accurately.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly to maintain the continuous operation of machinery. Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to identify and address concerns.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. Participate in safety meetings and contribute to the overall safety culture.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including parts used, time spent on tasks, and any additional relevant information.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements:
- 433A Millwright License: Must hold a valid 433A Millwright License in the province of Ontario.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Millwright in an industrial setting, with expertise in machinery installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in using hand and power tools, and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery.
- Safety Conscious: Prioritize safety in all aspects of work and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to diagnose and solve mechanical issues efficiently.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside regular working hours.
