Role Description:

We are in search of an enthusiastic and experienced Immigration Assistant to join us in a part-time, remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for immigration law and a friendly demeanor, combined with a professional work ethic. Responsibilities will extend beyond handling PR, EE, Visitor, LMIA, and study permit applications and will involve in-depth client file management, comprehensive administrative support for immigration matters, and proactive assistance to Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs). This role demands a high level of legal research competency, adeptness in preparing legal documents, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extensively manage and process study permit applications, ensuring compliance with current IRCC standards and procedures.
  • Maintain and organize client files with utmost accuracy, tracking essential deadlines and managing documentation requirements efficiently.
  • Provide comprehensive support to RCICs, including the preparation and submission of legal documents through the IRCC portal, and offering insights on case strategies.
  • Engage in detailed legal research pertaining to immigration laws, regulations, and policies, ensuring our practice remains abreast of all developments.
  • Facilitate clear and empathetic communication with clients, guiding them through the immigration process with professionalism and care.
  • Execute a wide range of administrative duties, such as scheduling, filing, data management, and responding to inquiries, ensuring the smooth operation of our services.
  • Uphold the confidentiality and security of all client information, demonstrating the highest level of integrity and ethical standards.

Additional Responsibilities:


  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on immigration policies and practices.
  • Assist in the marketing and outreach efforts to attract and educate potential clients about our services.


Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in legal research, document preparation, and a profound understanding of the immigration process.
  • Proficiency with IRCC applications, documentation requirements, and procedural nuances.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for clear and compassionate client interactions.
  • Robust administrative and organizational skills, with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A background in immigration law is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of a second language is considered a significant asset.
