Duties and Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for selling admission to recreation programs. The successful candidate will use the ACTIVEnet system to process transactions and provide information about the programs and services the City of Mississauga offers.
  • Provide exceptional customer service both over the phone and in person in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist customers by completing registrations and selling memberships, passes and addressing inquiries.
  • Follow and adhere to all corporate policies and procedures including ACTIVEnet business processes.
  • Staff must be available to work flexible hours which include weekdays, weekends, evenings and holidays.

Skills and Qualifications

  • The successful candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills for working in a multi-tasking customer service environment.
  • Current Emergency First Aid/CPR ‘B’ Certification required.
  • Cash Handling Experience is an asset.
  • Computer experience in Word, Excel and ACTIVEnet software.
  • Employment offer is conditional upon receipt of a Level II – Criminal and Judicial Matters Check that is acceptable to the City of Mississauga.
